Do holidays observed by the NSE and BSE apply to all trading segments?

·
Meyhar Singh
kamrudin · December 26, 2025

Yes, when the NSE or BSE declares a trading holiday, all core segments on that exchange, including Equity (EQ) and Equity Derivatives (F&O), remain closed for trading. There is no segment-wise trading on an official exchange holiday. Always refer to the official exchange holiday circular to plan trades and settlements accurately.
